House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has called for transcribed interviews with Karine Jean-Pierre, Ian Sams, Andrew Bates, and Jeff Zients. This is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged cover-ups concerning President Joe Biden’s mental health and potential unauthorized executive actions.

Chairman Comer stated, “President Biden’s inner circle repeatedly told the American people that he was ‘sharp as ever,’ dismissing any commentary about his obvious mental decline as ‘gratuitous.’ They fed these false talking points to progressive allies and the media, who helped perpetuate that President Biden was fit to serve. As part of our aggressive investigation into the cover-up of his cognitive decline and potentially unauthorized executive actions, we must hear from those who aided and abetted this farce.”

The committee has previously requested several former aides to testify voluntarily. While most have complied, subpoenas were issued to Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Biden’s physician, and Anthony Bernal, a former assistant to the president and senior advisor to the First Lady.

The letters sent by Chairman Comer request appearances from:

– Karine Jean-Pierre: Former Assistant to the President and White House Press Secretary
– Ian Sams: Former Special Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor in the White House Counsel’s Office
– Andrew Bates: Former Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Deputy Press Secretary
– Jeff Zients: Former White House Chief of Staff
