House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has called for testimony from President Joe Biden’s physician and former White House aides. This request is part of an investigation into alleged cover-ups of President Biden’s mental decline and the use of autopen for executive actions.

Chairman Comer stated, “The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal. The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf.” He emphasized the need for transparency regarding executive actions signed by autopen, including pardons.

Previously, Comer subpoenaed three White House aides—Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams—and requested an interview with Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s physician. The Biden administration had blocked these testimonies during the last Congress.

Comer also subpoenaed audio recordings related to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into mishandling classified documents by President Biden. However, Attorney General Merrick Garland did not comply with the subpoena.

A book titled “Original Sin” claims that five individuals were effectively running the country while President Biden played a minor role. Last week, Comer reiterated his commitment to investigating these issues further.

The letters demanding interviews have been sent to Dr. Kevin O’Connor; Neera Tanden, former Director of the Domestic Policy Council; Anthony Bernal; Annie Tomasini; and Ashley Williams.
