House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has issued a subpoena to Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Joe Biden’s physician. The subpoena requires Dr. O’Connor to appear for a deposition on June 27, 2025. This action is part of an investigation into the alleged cover-up of President Biden’s cognitive decline and potential unauthorized executive actions.

Chairman Comer had previously requested that Dr. O’Connor voluntarily participate in a transcribed interview, but he declined. In the last Congress, Chairman Comer also sought Dr. O’Connor’s testimony regarding his medical assessments and involvement in what is described as the Biden family’s influence peddling activities; however, this request was blocked by the White House.

In a letter dated May 22, 2025, the Committee requested Dr. O’Connor’s appearance for an interview concerning his February 2024 assessment of President Biden as “a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male.” The Committee expressed interest in whether Dr. O’Connor’s financial relationship with the Biden family influenced his assessment of President Biden’s fitness for office.

The letter from Chairman Comer stated: “On May 22, 2025, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform requested that you—because of your role as former Physician to the President for President Joe Biden—appear for a transcribed interview on June 25, 2025.” It continued by emphasizing that “your testimony is critical” to advance oversight responsibilities.
