Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) Chairwoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced a hearing focused on solidifying reforms to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending. The hearing, titled “Locking in the DOGE Cuts: Ending Waste, Fraud, and Abuse for Good,” will examine the cost-saving measures implemented by DOGE under the Trump Administration. These measures aim to ensure that federal programs operate efficiently and protect taxpayer dollars.
Greene emphasized the importance of institutionalizing these procedures to achieve sustained savings for taxpayers. “President Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency have sparked a sweeping overhaul of federal spending by aggressively eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and redundancy throughout the government,” she stated. Greene added that these reforms are not temporary but form a blueprint for a more efficient government.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET at HVC-210 in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Witnesses include Matthew Dickerson from The Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC), David Burton from The Heritage Foundation, and Dan Lips from the Foundation for American Innovation. The event will be open to the public and press and available via livestream.
