Rep. James Comer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, recently shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. Born in Carthage, Tennessee, Comer has been active in politics for several decades, having previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Comer expressed his stance on sanctuary cities by stating that “State & local governments that refuse to comply with federal immigration laws should not receive a PENNY of federal funding.” He supports President Trump and Congress’s actions regarding this matter.

The following day, on March 4, 2025, he announced that the House had passed four bills aimed at enhancing government operations. According to Comer’s tweet, these bills focus on “Government transparency, Cybersecurity [and] National security.”

Later that same day, Rep. Comer praised two individuals within the federal workforce for their integrity and dedication. He stated that “Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler embody the highest standards of the federal workforce” and acknowledged their efforts to expose misconduct related to Hunter Biden’s investigation.
