House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has announced the continuation of an investigation into what he describes as a cover-up of President Biden’s mental decline and the use of autopen. Previously, Comer subpoenaed White House aides Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams, along with requesting an interview with Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor. The Biden administration did not comply with these requests.

Comer also issued a subpoena for audio recordings related to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into President Biden’s handling of classified documents. However, Attorney General Merrick Garland did not fulfill this subpoena.

“The American people deserve to know who was actually calling the shots in the Biden White House, because it wasn’t Joe Biden,” said Comer. He accused the administration and others of covering up Biden’s condition and misleading the public.

Comer described this situation as “one of the greatest scandals of our generation” and expressed determination to continue investigating despite previous obstructions from the White House and criticism from Democrats in Congress.

He emphasized concerns about decisions made during Biden’s presidency involving autopens used for issuing pardons, questioning whether Biden had the mental capacity to authorize such actions. “The American people are done being lied to,” Comer stated, promising that those involved will be held accountable.
