Rep. James Comer, who has been serving Kentucky’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2016, recently shared several updates and announcements via Twitter. Comer, who has a background that includes previous service in the Kentucky House of Representatives, addressed a range of topics, from personal projects to legislative initiatives.

On April 1, 2025, Comer tweeted about a unique plan involving Hunter Biden. Comer stated, “I heard Hunter Biden is facing financial hardship, so I decided to commission him to paint my official chairman portrait. No favors from the Big Guy, I promise. It will hang in the Oversight Committee hearing room at the end of my term as chairman.”

Later the same day, Comer announced his participation in a media appearance. He tweeted, ” Joining @guypbenson today on the @GuyBensonShow. Tune in!”

On April 2, 2025, Comer discussed efforts related to governmental reorganization plans. He shared his collaboration with a fellow legislator, tweeting, “Congress can fast-track President Trump’s government reorganization plans by renewing a key tool to approve them swiftly in Congress. Working with @SenMikeLee on legislation to cut through the inefficiency and streamline government operations for all Americans.”
