Rep. James Comer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, has recently expressed his views on former President Joe Biden’s final months in office and the subsequent actions of the media. His statements were shared through a series of tweets.

On May 12, 2025, Comer stated that “Remember, Joe Biden’s last three months in office were spent trying to Trump-proof the government.” He further noted that “@GOPoversight is now waging a war with President Trump to do the will of the American people.”

In another tweet dated May 13, 2025, Comer remarked on Biden’s health by stating “You didn’t need a medical degree to know Joe Biden’s health was declining.” He accused Democrats and the media of attempting to conceal this information from the public.

Furthering his critique on May 15, 2025, Comer commented that “Joe Biden’s decline wasn’t just visible — it was undeniable.” He criticized what he described as a “complicit liberal media” for allegedly managing this narrative and questioned their credibility in comparison to claims about Donald Trump’s health.

James Comer has served in Congress since replacing Ed Whitfield in 2016. Before his congressional tenure, he was part of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2001 to 2012. Born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and currently residing in Tompkinsville, Comer graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993.
