CITY COMPLETES SYSTEMATIC
LOOSE-LEAF COLLECTION
The Sanitation Department has completed its third pass through Owensboro, collecting over 3.3 million pounds of leaves. Vacuum leaf collection will continue by request through Friday, February 14, 2020. In order to have loose leaves collected before the end of leaf season, customers must call the CityAction line at 270-687-4444 or the Sanitation Department at 270-687-8760 by Thursday, February 13,, 2020. Requests for loose-leaf collection received after February 13 will not be honored as crews will resume chipping operations and leaf equipment will be cleaned and stored. After February 14, 2020, bagged leaves can be placed curbside for collection on normal trash collection day.
