Lady Bearcats Fall To IU-East At Home
The Brescia University women's basketball team fell to the IU East as they drop the contest 89-70. The Bearcats drop to 1-8 overall and 0-3 in RSC play.
As we tip-off in the Bearcats' third conference game of the year, Lindsey Peyton would start the scoring by giving BU a 6-3 advantage over the Red Wolves. Despite the Red Wolves regaining the lead, the BU shooters in the Lindsey Peyton, Courtney Peyton, and Paige Vanzant would give Brescia the seven point advantage. Lindsey Peyton would continue her shooting spree as she made the first basket of the second quarter. The Red Wolves' offense would answer with a barrage of three pointers to pull away from the Bearcats. IU-East would end the first half with a seven point advantage going into the locker rooms.
Coming out of the half, the Red Wolves would outscore the Bearcats 20-13 in the third quarter. Although cutting the lead to 10 in the second half, the Bearcats could not convert offensively as the Red Wolves take this match-up, 89-70.
The Lady Bearcats' scoring was led by Lindsey Peyton with 19 points.
The Bearcats will prepare to take on IU Kokomo at home on December 10th at 1 pm CT
