Surgical Technology Info sessions
Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) Surgical Technology Program will host several 2023 surgical technology info sessions over the next month.
The 2023 info sessions are scheduled for, Thursday, March 2 @ 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15 @ 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 @ 2:00 p.m., and Tuesday, April 18 @ 9:00 a.m.
Owensboro Community & Technical College has an excellent, 10-month, Associate in Applied Science degree in the Surgical Technology program. For the past few years, graduates of the OCTC program have achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the national certification licensure exam. These info sessions are designed to give prospective students an overview of the program and demonstrations to simulate the lab experience.
All sessions will be held in person and virtually and the links are provided on OCTC's Facebook page or you may contact zara.basham@kctcs.edu and be sent the link. Interested students who are not able to access the links should contact Basham directly for accommodations.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the national professional certification licensure exam administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. The program has a limited number of seats available each year.
