43 coaches at institutions in Daviess County earned $28,828 on average in 2022

Daviess County’s 43 coaches earned an average salary of $28,828 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the eighth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Kentucky post-secondary schools during 2022.

Daviess County is home to two post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Kentucky Wesleyan College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $33,654.

Male coaches of men's teams received $32,233 on average in Daviess County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $28,158.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
