James Comer addresses Biden pardons and pharmacy benefit managers

Rep. James Comer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district, has recently made several statements via social media addressing various political issues. Comer, who has been a congressional representative since 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives, is known for his active engagement on matters concerning national politics.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. James Comer tweeted about President Joe Biden's comments regarding a potential pardon for Hunter Biden. He stated that "Joe Biden’s claim that he would not pardon Hunter Biden is part of a broader pattern of deception regarding his family’s business dealings in order to conceal his involvement." Comer directed readers to his op-ed published on Fox News for further details.

Later the same day, Comer announced an upcoming appearance on Fox Business through another tweet. He mentioned that he would be discussing topics such as Biden pardons and GOP oversight efforts with DOGE. The tweet read: "Joining @Varneyco live on @FoxBusiness soon to discuss Biden pardons, @GOPoversight efforts with @DOGE, and more! Tune in now."

In another post from December 9, Rep. Comer expressed agreement with former President Trump regarding Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). He stated: "President Trump is absolutely right about Pharmacy Benefit Managers & how they’ve driven up the price of lifesaving drugs for all Americans." Comer highlighted findings from a GOP oversight investigation into PBMs' operations and called for reform.
