House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has been chosen to continue his role as Chairman for the 119th Congress. Comer expressed his commitment to serving the American people in this capacity.
“It is an honor to continue serving the American people as Chairman of the House Oversight Committee,” Comer stated. He emphasized that citizens have voiced their desire for President Trump and Congress to address federal government accountability. “Oversight Committee Republicans are ready to hit the ground running and fulfill this mandate.”
Comer highlighted that many of President Trump's priorities align with the committee's jurisdiction, including areas such as federal civil service, government management, and efficiency in operations. He pledged collaboration with President Trump’s administration to ensure taxpayer money is used effectively. “We will advance solutions to make the federal government more efficient, effective, transparent, and accountable to the American people,” he added.
