The Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), chaired by Marjorie Taylor Greene, has announced a hearing titled “Public Funds, Private Agendas: NGOs Gone Wild.” The focus of the hearing is to investigate the alleged use of federal funds by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to support policies like open borders and the Green New Deal. Chairwoman Greene claims these actions have been facilitated by “radical Democrats” who have allegedly directed taxpayer money towards these NGOs.

“Radical, left-wing Democrats have bankrolled NGOs to advance their destructive agenda at the expense of American taxpayers,” said Greene. She further asserted that these activities involve billions in taxpayer dollars being used for agendas opposed by many Americans. Greene emphasized the need for transparency and accountability regarding how taxpayer funds are utilized.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET in HVC-210 at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Witnesses include Mark Krikorian from the Center for Immigration Studies, Daniel Turner from Power the Future, and Scott Walter from Capital Research Center. The proceedings will be available via livestream.
