The table below lists current owners of Tradewater Pointe.

The facility operates as a for-profit nursing home.

In this period, the nursing home was given an overall CMS rating of three, which matches the state average of 3.0 among Kentucky nursing homes. The CMS ratings assess facilities in key areas, including health inspections, staffing, and the quality of resident care.

During the first quarter of 2026, Tradewater Pointe served an average of 41 residents each day, with 60 beds available. The nursing home is not affiliated with a hospital at this time.

Tradewater Pointe recorded no fines or penalties in the first quarter of 2026.

Hopkins County, Kentucky, had a total of six for-profit nursing homes.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that America’s older adult population keeps rising, while the number of younger residents declines. From 2020 to 2024, the 65-and-older population increased by 13%, while those under 18 fell by 1.7%. Over the past 100 years, the older adult population has surged from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

A 2021 study indicates that nearly half of individuals age 65 and up, or about 28 million people, could need long-term services and support. This research also forecasts that over a third of this group could require nursing home care sometime in the future.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education group. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
