Today, Congressman James Comer acknowledged the contributions of Hailee Valentine, a University of Kentucky student, who completed a spring internship in his Washington D.C. office. During her time serving Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, Valentine assisted with Capitol tours, responded to constituent inquiries, and researched important legislation.

“Hailee was an invaluable member of my Washington, D.C. office this spring, and I want to express my gratitude for her exceptional service to Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District. Her contributions were vital in supporting both my team and countless Kentuckians. I’m excited to witness the bright future that awaits her and look forward to following her continued success,” said Congressman Comer.

Valentine is from Laurel County and is studying Marketing and Management at the University of Kentucky. She is also involved with Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

“Learning about Congress from Congressman Comer and his staff has been nothing short of incredible. Throughout this internship, I was able to navigate through many professional opportunities that will be valuable in my future endeavors,” Valentine stated.

Internships in Comer’s Washington D.C. office are available throughout the fall, spring, or summer semesters for college students. Interns may perform tasks such as answering phones, running errands, researching legislation for members and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, and responding to constituent letters on various issues before the House.
