City of Henderson issued the following announcement on Sept. 11
The 36th Annual Henderson County Senior Games will take place from Sept. 16-20 at various locations.
Medals will be awarded following each event to the top three male and female competitors.
To be eligible, an individual must reside in Henderson County and be 50 years of age prior to September 10, 2019. Any person who competed professionally, in any event offered, will not be eligible to participate in that event.
The event location is The Gathering Place, 1817 N. Elm St.

Opening ceremonies will take place at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, near the fountain in Central Park, downtown Henderson.
The first event will be a washers competition for men and women in Central Park.
