Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) expressed pride in advancing the bills, stating that they provide "practical solutions" for American taxpayers and enhance government operations. The following bills were reported favorably:

H.R. 10133, the Timely Stock Disclosure Act introduced by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), seeks to amend stock trading disclosure requirements for top government officials. Chairman Comer emphasized the importance of public access to disclosures to address potential insider trading issues promptly.

Rep. Burchett highlighted concerns about members of Congress outperforming hedge funds, suggesting a need for transparency if federal employees participate in markets they regulate.

H.R. 10132, the Federal Agency Performance Act sponsored by Rep. William Timmons (R-S.C.) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), aims to improve performance and outcomes within federal agencies through additional transparency mechanisms.

Rep. Timmons underscored the responsibility of protecting taxpayer dollars from waste and abuse, while recognizing Mr. Khanna's collaboration on this legislation.

H.R. 10155, the Financial Management Risk Reduction Act by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), intends to enhance oversight of federal funding through improved single audit requirements.

Chairman Comer noted that H.R. 10155 addresses fraud risks associated with COVID-19 financial assistance distributed to first-time award recipients who are not federal entities.

H.R. 10062, the Freedom to Petition the Government Act introduced by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), ensures non-profit organizations can petition their government without being subject to D.C.'s jurisdictional business laws.

Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) supported this bill as a victory for free speech rights of advocacy groups engaging with federal officials.

H.R. 8690, the Stop Secret Spending Act proposed by Rep. Barry Moore (R-Ala.) and Rep Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.), requires reporting agency spending information under USAspending.gov including other transaction agreements not covered by Federal Acquisition Regulation framework.

Chairman Comer stated that it is crucial for Americans to know how their money is used and mentioned gaps found in USASpending.gov regarding OTAs reporting consistency.
