City of Owensboro issued the following announcement.
COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING DAY
November 8, 2019
The Northwest Neighborhood Alliance, in conjunction with Lowe’s Home Improvement of Owensboro, will be planting several trees and shrubs at Kendall-Perkins Park (1201 W. 5th Street) on Friday, November 8th at 9:00 a.m. The City of Owensboro will provide shovels and gloves to the volunteers. We encourage the citizens of Owensboro to help make the Northwest neighborhood a better place to live and play. The public is invited to attend.
This project was made possible through the “Lowe’s Heroes Program”. Citizens can expect to see Crepe Myrtle, Dogwood, and Japanese Cherry trees, as well as Hydrangeas and Azaleas in this beautification project.
