Graduates earn 1,290 degrees, certificates from Madisonville Community College

About 38.2 percent of the 1,290 degrees and certificates handed out by Madisonville Community College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Madisonville conferred 324 certificates and 169 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in general computer and information sciences. Data shows the school gave out 222 certificates in general computer and information sciences, followed by 172 certificates in licensed practical/vocational nurse training and 126 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies.

The college enrolled 3,546 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
