Saturday began the fall wildfire season in Kentucky.
This prohibits burning of any kind from the times of 6 am to 6 pm through the date of December 15 throughout our entire district.
This is not a burn ban, this only restricts the times you are allowed to burn. What can and cannot be burned has not changed.
City burn permits are available to be picked up at Station 4 at any time.
Violations of burn restrictions and bans, regardless of damage or loss to property may bring penalties and/or fines associated with each violation.
These regulations will be enforced with the support of local law enforcement and the Kentucky Division of Forestry per KRS 149.401.
