Rep. James Comer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 1st district, has recently taken to social media to express his concerns regarding President Joe Biden's pardons. Comer's statements highlight his belief in serious issues surrounding the pardons and criticize the role of the media in covering these events.
On January 25, 2025, Rep. Comer referenced comments made by Bill Daley, former President Obama's chief of staff, stating that Daley's remarks "confirm that there are serious concerns about culpability." He added that "@GOPoversight exposed the truth." Comer further accused the Bidens of deceit and criticized what he described as a media cover-up.
The following day, January 26, 2025, Rep. Comer tweeted about President Biden’s pardons once more. He described them as an indictment against legacy media for allegedly losing credibility while covering up accusations of abuse of power and corruption against Biden. He announced his appearance on Fox News' Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo at 10:30 am ET in a tweet stating "Joe Biden’s pardons... serve as an indictment of the legacy media..."
Later on January 26, Rep. Comer reiterated his stance by asserting that President Biden pardoned his family for financial public corruption without explaining his actions to the American people. He claimed bureaucratic entities protected the Bidens and pledged collaboration with Pam Bondi and Kash Patel to hold accountable what he termed as "the Deep State." His statement read " Joe Biden pardoned his entire family... I will work with @PamBondi & @Kash_Patel..."
