The Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE), chaired by Marjorie Taylor Greene, has announced an upcoming hearing titled “America Last: How Foreign Aid Undermined U.S. Interests Around the World.” The hearing aims to scrutinize foreign aid programs that have allegedly misused taxpayer dollars for purposes not aligned with U.S. interests.

Chairwoman Greene stated, "In just the past month, the American people have been shocked to learn how their taxpayer dollars have been spent overseas. What the DOGE team has uncovered with USAID is shocking, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg." She emphasized that federal funds have been used to promote left-wing ideologies and support radical groups abroad.

The hearing will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. ET in HVC-210. Witnesses scheduled to testify include Max Primorac from The Heritage Foundation, Gregg Roman of the Middle East Forum, and Tyler O’Neil from The Daily Signal.

Greene highlighted that this session would expose questionable spending practices and propose solutions to prevent such issues in the future. The initiative aligns with President Trump's Executive Order aimed at reevaluating and realigning U.S. foreign aid to ensure transparency and prioritize national interests.

Media interested in attending must RSVP by Tuesday, February 25 at 5 p.m. ET.
