House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer, along with Representative Anna Paulina Luna, announced the Republican members who will serve on the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets. The task force is chaired by Rep. Luna.
The panel's members include Rep. Nancy Mace from South Carolina, Rep. Tim Burchett from Tennessee, Rep. Lauren Boebert from Colorado, Rep. Eric Burlison from Missouri, Rep. Eli Crane from Arizona, and Rep. Brandon Gill from Texas.
Chairman Comer emphasized the importance of transparency in government operations: “Ensuring government transparency for the American people is a core mission of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The Republicans on Rep. Luna’s task force are steadfast champions of transparency, and I am confident they will vigorously pursue and deliver the truth on critical issues.”
Rep. Luna also highlighted the commitment to full disclosure: “We have assembled a team of dedicated leaders who have consistently fought for transparency and full disclosure. Our mission is simple: to ensure these documents are released swiftly and in their entirety, giving the American people the truth they deserve. I appreciate my colleagues for stepping up to this critical task and putting the public’s right to know first.”
