Rep. James Comer, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky's 1st district since 2016, has recently expressed concerns on social media regarding actions by the Biden Administration and funding for public broadcasting services. Born in Carthage, Tennessee, in 1972, Comer is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and resides in Tompkinsville.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Comer alleged that the Biden Department of Energy concealed an important LNG energy study from both Congress and the American public to advance their "radical Green New Deal agenda." He criticized the administration for allegedly abandoning scientific principles. "Just learned the Biden Department of Energy hid a key LNG energy study from both the American people and Congress in order to push forward their radical Green New Deal agenda."

He announced that on March 26, CEOs from these organizations would testify before the GOP Oversight DOGE Subcommittee to justify continued funding despite what he described as biased news coverage.
