Women's Golf Takes 1st Place In First Spring Tournament
The Brescia University Women's Golf team took home the gold at the Klash of Kokopelli Tournament. Meredith Mayes earns 1st place for the Bearcats.
As the Lady Bearcats are set to compete in their first tournament of the Spring season, they head to John A Logan in Marion, Ill. for the Klash of Kokopelli. The 5,800 yd. Kokopelli Golf Course needed a par of 72 to take home 1st place. The Bearcats shot a total team score of 339 (1st place) as Meredith Mayes takes the individual title with a shot score of 77. Laurel Hotchkiss and Colby Reeder followed behind with score of 85 apiece, while Madison Harding finished with a 92. Emilee Clark rounded out the team with a score of 95.
Individually, Riley Johnson finished with a score of 94 while Bailey Stricklin followed with a 99 and Eva Cassidy with a score of 107.
Women's Golf will head out to the Blue Mountain College Spring Invite on March 20th for their next tournament.
