Rep. James Comer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district, has recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Comer, who succeeded Ed Whitfield in 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2001 to 2012, has been vocal about political matters and government accountability.
On March 6, 2025, Rep. Comer addressed allegations concerning the Biden family, asserting that "selling influence and access to Joe Biden was the Biden family business model." He claimed that Hunter Biden leveraged his father's power for financial gain, stating, "Hunter promised Joe’s power, Joe Biden showed up, and millions of dollars went into the Bidens’ pockets."
In a tweet dated March 7, 2025, Comer discussed disaster relief distribution and commended FEMA for its accountability measures. He expressed approval of actions taken by the Trump Administration to prevent political bias in distributing taxpayer-funded disaster relief: "Political affiliation should never be a factor in distributing taxpayer-funded disaster relief to Americans."
Later on March 7, Rep. Comer commented on an incident involving Democrats during President Trump's address. According to Comer, Jesse Watters sent a correspondent to Washington to investigate why Democrats were allegedly uncooperative during the event. He noted their reluctance to engage with Watters' team and remarked on their demeanor: "Liberal Democrats are just miserable people."
