Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Chairwoman Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) are set to hold a joint hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.” This event marks the second hearing addressing Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), aiming to uncover details about secret UAP research programs by the U.S. government and their undisclosed findings.

The hearing will scrutinize the Department of Defense’s reluctance to declassify materials related to UAPs and explore ways to ensure that the American public is better informed on this matter.

“This is our second hearing on the topic of UAPs and the American people are tired of the obfuscation and refusal to release information by the federal government. Americans deserve to understand what the government has learned about UAP sightings, and the nature of any potential threats these phenomena pose. We can only ensure that understanding by providing consistent, systemic transparency. We look forward to hearing from expert witnesses on ways to shed more light and bring greater accountability to this issue,” said Mace and Grothman.

The hearing will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. ET in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The panel will include Dr. Tim Gallaudet, Rear Admiral of the U.S. Navy (Ret.), who is also Chief Executive Officer at Ocean STL Consulting, LLC; Mr. Luis Elizondo, an author and former Department of Defense official; Mr. Michael Gold, former NASA Associate Administrator of Space Policy and Partnerships as well as a member of NASA's UAP Independent Study Team; and Mr. Michael Shellenberger, founder of Public.

This session will be open for public attendance as well as media coverage and will be livestreamed online at https://oversight.house.gov/. Press representatives must be congressionally credentialed and RSVP by Tuesday, November 12 at 5:00 p.m.
