House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has announced that the committee will convene for its organizational meeting on January 14, 2025, at 10:00 am ET. The agenda includes considering the proposed committee rules package for the upcoming 119th Congress.

Chairman Comer emphasized the importance of these rules, stating, "The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s rules provide the framework for us to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government and hold the federal bureaucracy accountable. We look forward to adopting our committee rules and getting to work on behalf of the American people."

The meeting is scheduled to be held in room HVC-210 and will also be available via livestream on the committee's official website.
