Rep. James Comer, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and currently residing in Tompkinsville, Comer graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1993.
On February 18, 2025, Comer addressed the economic impact of environmental policies implemented by the Biden Administration. He stated that "Green New Deal policies pushed by the Biden Administration wreaked havoc on Americans’ wallets, accelerating the impact of rampant inflation and forcing families to forgo basic necessities in order to pay energy bills."
The following day, on February 19, 2025, Comer announced an investigation led by the House Oversight Committee into financial matters involving educational institutions. He tweeted that "House Oversight [is] Investigating Underreported Foreign Funding at American Universities."
On February 20, 2025, Rep. Comer endorsed Kash Patel for a leadership role within a federal agency. He confirmed via Twitter that "Kash Patel is the right man to lead the FBI," expressing his anticipation to work with Patel to address concerns about federal law enforcement.
